1)  Contact us to have an initial conversation.

2) Complete & submit an application (linked below), pay $50 application fee (online payment button below) and share a former teacher recommendation or student narrative. We will contact you to schedule a tour and/or classroom visit for your child. We require that your child visit for a minimum of 2 full days, if classes are in session.  During summer months or holidays, we will arrange an in-person meet and greet with faculty.

3) After initial classroom visit, your child’s teacher/s will contact you to schedule a enrollment conference. If there is mutual recognition that SOLA is a good fit, proceed to step 4

4)  Finalize membership and enrollment- complete membership documents, register for classes, complete a fee agreement, submit $150 new membership fee & $250 materials fee. These fees are non-refundable.

Sanctuary of Living Arts strives to create a healthy class culture & safe, harmonious learning environment for all SOLA students.  We are dedicated to serving a thriving community of learners with diverse learning styles and abilities.  However, there may be circumstances in which a student's behavioral or developmental needs are beyond our capacities to serve.  In keeping with these considerations & intentions, all new students are subject to mutual, provisional approval for 15 days.


2024/25 SLIDING SCALE FEES

Please note: The fee schedules below (with the exception of Walking With the Light parent/child program) are based on each family’s contribution of 24 hours of service per annum, August - July of each year. Parent service hours are valued at $25 per hour. Unmet service hour requirement will result in a fee increase of $50 per month, or $600 per annum.


EARLY CHILDHOOD & KINDERFOREST

Walking With the Light: Open to families/ parents and children ages birth to 3 years old. Offered in seasonal, 8-10 week sessions, Walking With the Light invites parents into sharing, stories, crafts, and outdoor explorations that connect the family as a whole to our work and create a vibrant community of care.

Sliding scale per session. 

4 Full Days: Open to 3.5-6.5 year olds. 9:00am-3:00pm. Intermittently we will host family days or parent-child days. These special days will invite parents into sharing, stories, crafts, and outdoor explorations that connect the family as a whole to our work and create a vibrant community of care.

$8,400-$12,000

Sliding scale per annum. Monthly or bi-annual payment plans are available.


LOWER SCHOOL

Full Enrollment: Participation in all Academic Thematic Lessons, Living Arts classes, Friday Living Arts Focus Days, Monday-Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm

UPPER SCHOOL

Thematic Lesson Blocks Only: AVAILABLE ONLY to students 16 years and older with FULL pre-payment for the block. Spaces for full or part time students are prioritized. Select individual Academic or Living Arts thematic blocks. Block themes are typically 3-8 weeks in duration; Academic Blocks take place Mon/Wed, Living Arts Blocks Tue/Thur, 9:00am-12:00pm.

$350-$495 sliding scale, per block

Dependent upon the duration of the block, full payment due 1 week prior to first class

Full Enrollment: Participation in all Academic and Living Arts Thematic Lessons, Relational Arts classes, Math & Language Arts skills classes, Friday Field or lab days, and all Trimester Electives. Monday-Thursday 9:00am-3:00pm, and select Fridays, times TBD. Senior level students will also receive mentoring for an independent project, to be presented at the end of the year.

$9,800-$12,000 sliding scale, per annum

Monthly and bi-annual payment plans are available.

Expeditionary Travel Fees: The culmination of SOLA’s Relational Arts curriculum is achieved through a student’s participation in 1-2 annual adventure trips, with one international destination. Students younger than 16 years must complete a domestic or regional adventure before embarking on an international adventure. All travelling students must complete the entirety of the Relational Arts curriculum cycle (or an equivalent vetting process) to be eligible for trips.

$1,800 - $2,800 per annum

Dependent upon on the number of trips, and varying factors TBD, incremental payment options available

Part Time Enrollment: AVAILABLE ONLY to students 16 years and older. Participation in Tuesday & Thursday offerings, 9:am-3:00pm including Relational Arts and Living Arts Blocks (fine and traditional arts, crafts, gardening), Electives and Practical/Life Skills . Senior level students will also receive mentoring for college entry, and an independent project, to be presented at the end of the year.

$6,800-$9,800 sliding scale

Monthly and bi-annual payment plans are available.
